Following the cancellation of last year’s local elections, it has been confirmed that voting will definitely take place on Thursday 6th May 2021.
We’re encouraging everyone, regardless of who you’re voting for, to sign up for a postal vote. It is easy and simple, and undoubtedly safer for voters and the officials running the polling stations, though the stations will still be open for those wishing to vote in person.
This year you have five votes: Two local councillors, the Mayor of Bristol, the West of England Mayor and the Police & Crime Commissioner. Labour’s candidates are:
- Council: Eileen Means and Joe Rayment
- Mayor of Bristol: Marvin Rees
- West of England Mayor: Dan Norris
- Police and Crime Commissioner: Kerry Barker
You need to be on the electoral register to be able to vote and the deadline for registration is midnight on the 19th April. The deadline to apply for a Postal Vote is 5pm on 20th April.
