As you’re hopefully aware, Thursday 5th May (tomorrow!) is polling day. You’ll get the chance to vote for the Mayor of Bristol, your local Councillors for Bishopston & Ashley Down, and the Police & Crime Commissioner for Avon & Somerset.

Polls are open from 7am to 10pm, and your polling station location should be clearly stated on your polling card and signposted outside the venue. You don’t need your polling card with you to vote.

It’s worth noting also that for the Mayor and Police & Crime Commissioner you get two votes; a first and second preference. For the Councillors you can vote for two candidates as there are two seats available in the ward.

Hopefully you’ve been able to find enough information about the candidates to make an informed decision. You can click here for the main things we’d like to achieve as Labour. You can also view our whole manifesto by clicking here.

Of course we’d love for you to use all your votes for Labour, but more than anything it’s important that you simply get out there and vote to make your voice heard – it really does make a difference!
