Bus fares in Bristol have actually come down in the last few years, but services can still be unreliable. Local buses are often overcrowded, sometimes with long delays at bus stops because we still don’t have a modern ‘Oyster’ type payment card. Even looking at the real time information displays can be a gamble.

Away from the main routes, infrequent and unreliable services are a real burden for those who have to use them.

In addition, the increased number of vehicles on the roads have resulted in a rush hour nightmare, with traffic problems for all road users.

Your Labour team is working hard to improve local transport, such as campaigning for the re-opening of Ashley Hill station (photo, right) but we want to know your thoughts too so please do get in touch!
