It’s great to see on Bristol City Council’s consultation website, and to hear at the recent local Neighbourhood Partnership meeting, that the play area on Ashley Down Green is getting closer (finally!) to going ahead. After planning was granted ages ago it’s now something the Council is pushing forward in earnest.

We need to make sure we protect our green spaces like Ashley Down Green and Horfield Common, and expanding their amenities in this way will make it an opportunity for an even richer use of the Green by the community. It’d also be great to try and extend our city’s green spaces into areas of currently unused land, but one step at a time I guess!
